Estate planning (Part 2): Where do you start?

Now that you know what estate planning is, where do you start?

You should start thinking about estate planning as soon as you start acquiring wealth or assets. These will need to be updated as your assets and goals change, as well as if you have new dependents like your spouse and children.

In this video, you will learn how to start categorising your different assets and liabilities, as well as how to create a list of beneficiaries. You will also learn about will writing and trusts that will give you control over how your assets are distributed.

Without a proper estate plan, your assets are in limbo if you die or become incapacitated. Start planning as soon as possible, and remember to update your plans regularly.
